A very rare pair of early Georgian windsor chairs with comb-backs and support stays in fruitwood and elm with turned H stretchers - wonderful colour and patination - one seat with an old repair - some detail differences but attributed to:  John Pitt of Slough




John Pitt  (1714 - 1759)  is the earliest documented Windsor chair maker 

He is buried at Upton Cum Chalvey
