An interesting and rare buckinghamshire cherrywood longcase clock by a well regarded maker
The tall case is elegant and refined and made of cherry wood - a once common wood in Buckinghamshire due to the local cherry orchards
The 11 inch brass dial has an engraved centre with an engraved seconds dial and a recessed date aperture and signed John Putnam Amersham
The movement goes for eight days on one winding and is of high quality
John Putnam of Amersham was apprenticed 8 May 1762 to
